Genelle Watkins

ENVIROMENTAL PROJECT MANAGER

Genelle Watkins holds a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. As Environmental Project Manager for ACE, Ms. Watkins leads the District 40 (Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, and Crestline) areas in overall environmental compliance across programs. She brings over seven years’ experience as a project manager, wildlife biologist, and ISA Certified Arborist/qualified tree risk assessor. Ms. Watkins has extended experience managing complex projects, including utilities, construction, solar, and restoration projects. Ms. Watkins also has unique experience in leading permitting efforts of the recently listed western Joshua tree and has skillsets as it relates to regulatory oversight, biological field surveys, and grant writing to ensure compliance with utility standards and program requirements.

Joanna Verdejo

B.S. BIOLOGY

Joanna Verdejo Is a dedicated professional with a B.S. in Biology, providing a strong foundation in biology, ecology, and natural resource management as they relate to vegetation management and environmental stewardship. Her career began in Utility Vegetation Management as a Safety Administrator, where she developed expertise in safe work practices and field compliance and now applies that experience to environmental compliance within field operations. Ms. Verdejo is experienced in compliance monitoring, crew training, and supporting adherence to client-specific environmental requirements, project specifications, and applicable state and federal regulations. She also supports data integrity, environmental documentation, and safe vegetation management operations in accordance with established client and quality standards.

Jessica Arambula

ENVIROMENTAL PROJECT MANAGER - DISTRICT 31

Jessica Arambula holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from California State University, San Bernardino and is an ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified professional. With seven years of experience in the utility vegetation management industry, Jessica has consistently led and managed environmental departments, overseeing environmental compliance, quality control, project coordination, and field operations. She currently serves as an Environmental Project Manager supporting the SCE program in District 31, where she coordinates with SCE, field crews, and customers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with environmental requirements. Jessica has a strong background in reviewing data, conducting field audits and inspections, coordinating environmental surveys and monitoring, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and overall program performance. Jessica is also bilingual in English and Spanish.

Daniel Alvarez

Daniel Alvarez is an experienced utility vegetation management and environmental professional who has worked in the utility arboriculture industry since 2020. His career began as a Consulting Utility Forester, where he gained experience inspecting high-fire and non-high-fire areas, identifying fast-growing and hazardous vegetation, and supporting mitigation efforts to protect utility infrastructure and surrounding communities. Mr. Alvarez later transitioned into environmental project management, where he is responsible for supporting compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations and client-specific environmental requirements. His arborist certifications, environmental education, and field experience allow him to effectively integrate environmental compliance with utility vegetation management operations while supporting wildfire mitigation, environmental stewardship, public safety, and electric reliability.
